Katharine Behennah
Research Nurse
Katharine Behennah is a Research Fellow with extensive experience in oncology clinical trials. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1991 and started her oncology career at Weston Park Hospital in 1995, initially working on the wards before joining the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre in 1999. Over the next 25 years, Katharine contributed to the delivery of numerous clinical research studies and played a key role in expanding the urology portfolio across Weston Park and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Her research expertise spans multiple cancer disease sites, with a particular focus on colorectal, bladder, and prostate cancer trials. Katharine also has significant experience in regulatory compliance, including participation in MHRA inspections. In 2025, she joined the STAMINA team to deliver the OASIS trial, an international study evaluating the long-term safety of hydrogel spacers in prostate cancer radiotherapy.
